When the Queen Bee of Bialya seemingly killed the original Jack O'Lantern (in reality locking him away in a dungeon), she replaced him with Marvin Noronsa, for no other reason than his personality was similar to the original Jack O'Lantern's, enabling him to trick the other Global Guardians into believing he was the real Jack O'Lantern. He willingly aided Queen Bee in her schemes and was killed in an explosion in Bialya, just prior to the Queen Bee's murder by Sumaan Harjavti. The other Global Guardians then realized they had been duped.
